Process of powder coating

Materials that can be coated are aluminum, iron, galvanized iron and stainless steel.

1. CHEMICAL PREPARATION OF THE METAL SURFACE

Degreasing, rinsing, phosphating. Different types of metal require different preparation procedures (mechanical as well, if necessary).

2. DRYING OVEN

The degreased metal is dried in a drying chamber.

3. APPLICATION OF POWDER

In the plasticizing booth, powder for plasticizing negatively charged particles is applied to grounded objects that are positively charged (electrified) with electrostatic guns. Negatively charged powder particles repel each other and are thus evenly distributed. After applying the powder, the line is transported to the polymerization furnace.

4. POLYMERIZATION

(baking) the powder is the final plasticization process. At a temperature of 150°C - 200°C, the items are baked for 15 - 30 minutes. The temperature and time of polymerization depends on the type of powder applied to the objects, as well as the thickness and shape of the objects. During polymerization, an evenly distributed layer of powder formed into a permanent surface layer. The result is a uniform, smooth surface, which is characterized by resistance and an attractive appearance.
